Everyone Needs an Edge

MEFS

Want an advantage over your competitor?  It’s all about optimal brain performance.  Optimal brain performance is simply your brain performing its best when you need it to the most.

Who doesn’t want to be more productive, experience calmness, focus, enhanced creativity and energy to name a few?  Well, that’s what you experience when your brain is working at its peak.  Did you know that it only takes 15 minutes every day to still your mind, slow down your brain to reap the benefit of greater clarity, insight and focus?

If you’ve ever experienced being in the “zone” than you know what it feels like when your brain is operating at an optimal level. Recognizing your optimal brain performance is key to understanding how to access your zone.  Sleep, nutrition, proper rest and recovery are all essential to being on top of your game day in and day out.

Take some time out of your day and begin to assess when you feel the sharpest, the clearest, and the most energetic. How many hours of sleep did you get the night before, what types of foods have you been eating? These are all good questions to ask yourself as you begin to assess what’s working and what’s not.  Creating a routine and being consistent are good habits to form when training your mind and body to perform better.  “Success is neither magical nor mysterious. Success is the natural consequence of consistently applying the fundamentals.” Jim Rohn
